I have the honour to acknowledge the
(3) receipt of your despatch No.290 of the 2nd August, 1934,
regarding the proposed amendment of the Public Health
(Imported Food) Regulations and with regard to the second
paragraph of that despatch to inform you that:-

enclosed.
(a) the article in respect of which an
Official Certificate is required is
hog's lard only
(b) the assurance required may in each case
be given, and
(c) the only amendment considered necessary
in the form of the present Certificate
is the substitution in due course of a
reference to the Public Health (Imported
Food) Regulations, 1934, for the reference
to legislation at present in force.
Six copies of the proposed certificate are
